The King's Outreach
Reaching our community
The King's Outreach is an organization that aims to support local people through the development of training, social activities and practical support that meet the needs of socially disadvantaged groups.
In 2004, after carrying out extensive local research, we produced a Community Survey which identified the needs of our local communities and provided us with a baseline from which we have been able to identify services. Our current activities include:
- Training Facilities
- Extensive provision for Young People
- Parenting Classes
- Mentoring
- Food Hygiene and First Aid Courses
- Debt Counselling
- Drug Awareness Sessions
-Intergenerational activities
Working with the Forum
by Ben on Feb 01, 2011
The Youth Forum is open to anyone from ages 11-19 living the Manby/Grimoldby area to come along and voice their opinion on community events, projects, and services that are run through the youth centre. Suggestions are greatly welcomed, and you will be given a chance to address the forum at the end of every meeting. The meetings are lead by youth and young adults and some decisions are made by a majority vote of all members in attendance, so please come along! The next Manby and Grimoldby Young People's Forum meeting will be held at Centurion House (YPOP youth centre) on Manby park from 7-7:30pm on Wednesday 9th of February.
